Team Leader – The Firs, Witheridge

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our professional friendly team. The Firs is a small residential home in the heart of Witheridge.

The role is part time working 2 shifts a week. 12 hours a day however we would consider 1, 2 or 3 shifts per week.

As the Team Leader you will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the home and overseeing the staff team on duty.

Your Main duties will include
To lead the day-to-day delivery of personal care and support to residents as detailed in their care and support plan, with the assistance and instruction of the manager.
To administer prescribed medications as required, and assist in ordering and booking new in cycle meds in.
Ensuring the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the residents is met using a person-centred approach, promoting Activities of Daily Living throughout the day so that the residents enjoy a fulfilling lived experience.
To know and understand the care and support needs of the residents
To regularly read and update the residents care and support plans, including PCS, of residents as required.
To maintain detailed and accurate records in respect of care (and medication) support given and tasks undertaken
To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with colleagues

Working Patterns:
2 x shifts a week =24 hours a week

4 week repeating rota

£12.80p/h

KNIGHTS’ QUIZ 17 May


Well Dan Hughes certainly lived up to his billing with a truly brilliant quiz well delivered. Thank you Dan for a really enjoyable evening and it was good to see more new faces at the Quiz. We raised £75 for the community and as importantly had fun doing it.

The next quiz will be on 31st May in the Sports Club at 19:30 when Paul Rich will be quizmaster. We hope to see you there.

Concert for Ukraine: 21 May

Witheridge Parish Church Concert in aid of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

On Sunday 21st May Little Dart Singers will be holding their Final Concert before the Autumn.

The Bondleigh Barn Band will be providing entertaining music and their program will include a Ukraine dance by a young Ukrainian performer.

It commences at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm and we will be serving wine and nibbles. 

The band consist of 40 local amateur musicians.

Relax and enjoy an evening of music-making from a wide variety of styles and times.

Join in if you wish and come prepared to smile.

It is a fun performance, and It is a FREE Concert, with a Retiring Collection for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Please come and have a fun evening and contribute to this worthy cause.

KNIGHTS’ QUIZ 3rd MAY

Another excellent quiz tonight thanks the Mike Delaney’s great questions. A very tight contest indeed with only a few points in it among the five teams! Thank you everybody who came and especially to the team having their first go at the quiz. The next quiz will be in 2 weeks time on 17th May when we have a new quizmaster, Dan Hughes, making his debut. We hope to see you there!
